TWO WHEELED NEWSLETTER
June 2008

It is summer time and it is a time to enjoy farmer’s markets, the beach, and cool treats along the trail

At Two Wheeled Foundation this month we are celebrating the approval of our 501(c)(3) application. The approval by the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) means that TWF is now free from federal and state taxes and can receive tax deductible donations from friends and charitable foundations. Holding this status is the first step for TWF to become an accountable and trustworthy organization.

This past month TWF continued to grow its base of support and search out individuals and opportunities. We had a guest profile writer who detailed who women in Sri Lanka used the bicycle as a mobilizing tool to fight for safety against sexual violence. TWF was able to visit the exciting New Amsterdam Project, a heavy duty tricycle delivery service based in Cambridge, MA and see that growing ways the bicycle is being re-imagined. They are also profiled on the TWF website.

Next month look forward to the announcement of events. We appreciate all that continue to support TWF and understand that social change is a process that requires keeping the wheels moving, and here at TWF we are moving slowly, but reaching far.

Kind and Warm Regards,
